I photograph newborns at home, in your real space, and I don't use elaborate props or overly posed setups. You'll get the real moments: baby's tiny hands wrapped around your finger, the way your partner holds them, the rumpled blanket on your bed.

Years from now, you won't just remember what your baby looked like. You'll remember how it felt in your home, in this season, and that's what I want your photos to hold.

Bump to Baby pairs a maternity session with a newborn session, so you get to see the whole beginning of your family's story: the anticipation and the arrival.

Your maternity session celebrates this season of waiting, and your newborn session captures your baby exactly as they are in those first few weeks. Because I'm with you for both, I already know you, your style, and what matters to you by the time baby arrives

mATERNITY

THE BUMP

 

Maternity sessions are best between 28 and 36 weeks, with 30 to 34 being my favorite window. You're round and glowing, but still comfortable and moving easily. We'll find a time that works around your due date and my calendar, and I'll help you plan locations such as Hampton Park, Azalea Park, Folly Beach, and Downtown Charleston. We'll also create a Pinterest board together where we can share ideas about outfits and moments you want to recreate.

nEWBORN

tHE BABY

 

Newborn sessions happen in the first 2 months of life. I let families decide when they want to have their newborn session whether it's days after they're born or 6 weeks old.  Because babies keep their own schedule, I'll pencil in a flexible window around your due date, and we'll lock in the exact day once baby arrives.

What's included

1.5-2 hours at Shine Studio (optional - + $150-$200)

1-2 hours in your home

Minimum of 20 of professionally edited images from each session

Online gallery to download and printing services available

Outfit and styling guidance for both sessions

Bump to Baby families have the option to enroll in the VIP Program

Frequently Asked Questions

What if baby is fussy?


Totally normal, and I plan for it. Newborns eat, sleep, and fuss on their own schedule, so we move at baby's pace. We'll pause for feedings, diaper changes, and cuddles, and I'll never rush you or baby. A calm, unhurried session gives us the best photos, fussy moments included. And I'm totally flexible - did baby keep you up all night before your session - let's reschedule. Is baby gassy and inconsolable the morning of your session? Let's reschedule.

Please note - this flexibility extends to in home sessions. Studio sessions are book through Shine Studios and rescheduling isn't as easy, but we'll work with baby to the best of our ability.

VIP is my thank-you to the families who trust me with their beginning. If you book Bump to Baby, you're automatically on the VIP list, with nothing extra to sign up for or pay for.

What do I get as a VIP?

First access. You hear about new sessions, like my seasonal mini sessions, before they're announced to the public, so you get first pick of dates and locations.

VIP pricing. You get 10% off  select sessions, such as fall minis. Any VIP discount will be in the email I send you.

Can I opt out?

Of course. If you'd rather not get VIP emails, just reply to any of them or send me a note, and I'll take you off the list. No hard feelings!
